Senior Manager, International Programs

Location: Remote US. Restricted to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and protected individuals unless required export-control licenses are obtained. International travel and meaningful on-site customer presence may be required.

Salary: $130,000–$165,000 annually, subject to local market, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of international programs, including contract kickoff, solution delivery, proof of concept execution, deployment, operational support, documentation, invoicing, and compliance artifacts.
• Translate contracts into executable plans with milestones, deliverables, ownership, budgets, schedules, and risk controls.
• Serve as the primary customer contact and align Legal, Finance, Product, Science, Engineering, and Customer Success teams.
• Manage procurement, contracting, cultural, regulatory, partner, subcontractor, and integrator relationships across international markets.
• Support international sales opportunities by reviewing deals, validating proof-of-concept scope, assessing delivery risks, and strengthening proposals.
• Report program health to senior leadership and build governance, tracking, and reporting frameworks for a fast-growing organization.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on program or project management experience delivering complex technical programs for large-scale customers or demanding environments.
• Direct end-to-end delivery ownership across international markets, including work across countries, time zones, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience building execution structures and processes in environments without extensive institutional support.
• Strong cross-functional influence skills with engineering, science, legal, product, sales, and business development teams.
• Direct experience with international procurement, contracting norms, cultural expectations, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent written and spoken English, U.S. work authorization or qualifying protected status, and willingness to travel internationally.

Nice to have

• Experience with live events, safety-critical systems, real-time data delivery, or mission-critical infrastructure.
• Background in weather, climate, earth observation, environmental monitoring, SaaS, or Data-as-a-Service.
• Experience with competitive tenders, relationship-driven international deals, commercial models, pricing, and contract negotiations.
• Additional languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, Thai, Bahasa, or French.
• Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up where the operating model had to be built while programs were running.
