Staff Application Engineer (Salesforce)

Location: Remote US

Salary: $116,000–$183,000 USD annually, depending on US location tier.

What you will do

• Architect, build, and own Salesforce Sales Cloud for Firefox Enterprise and multiple enterprise product lines.
• Define scalable data models, account and opportunity structures, sales processes, role hierarchies, record types, sharing rules, and security models.
• Design lead-to-cash capabilities covering quoting, contracting, orders, service delivery, entitlements, renewals, and revenue-management integrations.
• Build integrations with NetSuite, BigQuery, contract-management systems, and other operational platforms.
• Establish environment strategy, source control, automated testing, deployment pipelines, release controls, rollback practices, and operational runbooks.
• Build secure MCP servers and integrations that expose approved CRM data and actions to AI assistants and agentic workflows.

Requirements

• At least eight years of experience in Salesforce engineering, administration, or architecture.
• Experience leading implementation and ongoing operation of a complex Salesforce environment.
• Advanced proficiency with Salesforce Flow, validation rules, approval processes, record types, permission models, and sharing rules.
• Hands-on experience reading, writing, testing, and reviewing Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components.
• Experience with Salesforce data and security models, lead-to-cash processes, enterprise integrations, and AI assistants or MCP integrations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer, Application Architect, or System Architect credentials.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, source control, and Salesforce release management.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with NetSuite, BigQuery, Workato, Celigo, MuleSoft, or comparable platforms.
• Experience with service contracts, entitlements, delivery operations, subscription renewals, CPQ, or contract-lifecycle workflows.
• Experience operating Salesforce in ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similarly controlled environments.
