Maintenance Expert (Predictive Maintenance)

Location: Brussels, Belgium; hybrid work with a minimum of 3 days per week on site

What you will do

• Define and govern the global predictive-maintenance strategy, roadmap, playbook, standards, and operating model.
• Develop risk-based methods for asset prioritization and selection of predictive techniques, including vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermography, oil analysis, and electrical condition monitoring.
• Evaluate and lead proofs of concept for AI, machine learning, Asset Performance Management, digital-twin, IoT, and advanced analytics solutions.
• Integrate asset-health insights with historians, CMMS/EAM, APM, data warehouses, maintenance plans, RCM/FMECA outputs, and continuous-improvement processes.
• Conduct complex diagnostics, develop value cases and KPIs, and translate reliability data into technical recommendations and risk-based actions.
• Coordinate global practitioner networks, suppliers, training, technical documentation, and stakeholder engagement across international sites.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in reliability, maintenance engineering, condition monitoring, asset management, or industrial analytics.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, or operating predictive- and condition-based maintenance solutions in multi-site or regulated industrial environments.
• Advanced knowledge of reliability engineering, failure mechanisms, asset criticality, FMECA, RCM, RCA, and maintenance-strategy optimization.
• Practical experience with data warehouses, IoT and sensor technologies, data acquisition, signal interpretation, diagnostics, asset-health analytics, CMMS/EAM, and APM.
• Knowledge of cGMP, Good Engineering Practices, EHS, cybersecurity, data integrity, governance, and risk-based approaches in regulated environments.
• Excellent command of English, a relevant master’s degree or equivalent qualification, and willingness to travel internationally when required.

Nice to have

• French or another language used across the organization’s sites.
• Experience with maintenance-organization design, coaching, communities of practice, or capability building.
• Experience with Reliability by Design, Asset Ready for Maintenance, digital twins, advanced APM, machine learning, or strategic technology suppliers.
• Certifications such as CMRP, CRL, vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound, lubrication analysis, IAM, Lean Six Sigma, or data analytics.
