Equipment Engineer Solids Pilot Plant (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Beerse, Antwerp, Belgium; onsite role

What you will do

• Develop technical expertise in solids manufacturing equipment, including feeders, blenders, spray dryers, granulators, tablet presses, and continuous manufacturing systems.
• Translate process and user needs into technical solutions and support troubleshooting, equipment improvement, and technology evaluation.
• Lead and support equipment investment projects from concept through design, installation, commissioning, start-up, and qualification.
• Create and approve lifecycle and qualification documentation, including URS, risk assessments, IOPQ, deviations, FAT, and SAT activities.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, operators, engineers, quality partners, and safety specialists.
• Participate in change control, HAZOP, SWIFT, FMEA, feasibility studies, capacity analyses, and business cases.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in equipment engineering, manufacturing, or technical project delivery.
• Understanding of equipment design standards and regulated manufacturing environments such as pharmaceutical, food, or chemical production.
• Knowledge of GMP, equipment qualification, automation, data integrity, machinery safety, ATEX, piping standards, HAZOP, or FMEA.
• Professional proficiency in English and Dutch is required.
• Strong analytical, planning, prioritization, communication, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with FPX methodology and Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge of SAP Product Lifecycle Management.
• Experience with feasibility studies, business case modeling, product development, or technical writing.
