Senior Medical Science Liaison, Rheumatology - Upper Mid-West

Location: United States; territory covering Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan. The role is field-based and requires up to 70% travel, including in-territory visits, internal meetings, congresses, and related events. Minneapolis or Ann Arbor is preferred.

Base pay: $137,000–$235,750 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and execute scientific engagement plans aligned with Medical Affairs strategy and medical objectives.
• Build professional relationships with rheumatology key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and academic and community teams.
• Conduct balanced, non-promotional scientific exchange and tailor clinical evidence to stakeholder needs.
• Identify educational gaps, treatment trends, unmet needs, risks, and opportunities within the territory.
• Support company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies and respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries.
• Generate actionable insights, collaborate across Medical Affairs and R&D, and use AI tools to improve decision-making and efficiency.

Requirements

• Doctorate-level degree or equivalent experience, such as PharmD, PhD, MD, or an advanced practice provider qualification.
• Postgraduate experience for doctoral-level candidates and at least 2 years of relevant experience, including demonstrated success as an MSL.
• Strong therapeutic and scientific expertise in research, data analysis, clinical practice, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to work in the United States territory covering Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan, with up to 70% travel.
• Valid US driver’s license required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot, computers, and remote technologies.
