Senior Medical Science Liaison - Obesity - Raleigh, NC (Biotech)

Location: US - North Carolina - Raleigh; field-based territory covering Raleigh, Greenville, Fayetteville, Wilmington, Rocky Mount, Lumberton, and Kinston.

Salary: $172,344.30–$233,171.70 annually.

What you will do

• Serve as a primary scientific and clinical resource for opinion leaders, healthcare providers, population health decision-makers, and clinical investigators.
• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific exchange on obesity and related conditions using accurate, balanced, and compliant clinical information.
• Support the obesity pipeline, sponsored research, non-sponsored clinical research, and potential investigator engagement.
• Communicate clinical, outcomes, and economic data within assigned integrated delivery networks and other institutions.
• Provide field insights to internal stakeholders, support congress activities and speaker training, and participate in MSL strategy projects.
• Maintain scientific expertise, build external relationships, complete compliance and administrative responsibilities, and mentor other MSLs.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a master’s degree and 6 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Experience in a medically related field, including clinical practice, clinical research, medical research, post-doctoral training, residencies, or fellowships.
• Experience in a Medical Science Liaison role and current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and communicate scientific data effectively.
• Experience with a designated territory and the ability to work across the stated North Carolina field territory.

Nice to have

• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or another doctoral degree.
• Seven or more years in a medically related field, including at least one year focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
• Two or more years of MSL experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
• Cardiometabolic or obesity expertise.
