Medical Science Liaison, Caplyta - Great Lakes (IL/WI)

Location: Great Lakes territory covering Illinois and Wisconsin, United States; the role supports up to 70% travel within the territory, internal meetings, and congresses.

Salary: $117,000–$201,250 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and execute a scientific engagement plan aligned with Medical Affairs strategy and approved medical assets for Caplyta.
• Build professional relationships with community and academic key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals across the territory.
• Conduct objective, non-promotional scientific exchanges and presentations that translate complex clinical evidence into relevant discussions.
• Collect, synthesize, and submit actionable clinical, scientific, competitive, and territory insights.
• Support company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies, including scientific exchange and coordination with investigators.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, R&D, Clinical Operations, Sales, Marketing, and field partners in a compliant matrix environment.

Requirements

• Doctorate-level degree or equivalent experience, such as PharmD, PhD, MD, or an advanced practice provider qualification.
• Postgraduate experience for doctoral-level candidates, with therapeutic-area clinical experience preferred.
• Strong scientific and therapeutic knowledge, research or healthcare system knowledge, and clinical expertise.
• Demonstrated ability in data gathering and analysis, problem solving, interpersonal influence, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to support the Illinois and Wisconsin territory with up to 70% travel.
• Valid United States driver's license required.

Nice to have

• At least two years of relevant experience, preferably in an MSL role.
• At least two years of relevant therapeutic-area experience.
• Residency or fellowship experience.
• Board certification for clinical degrees.
• Experience exploring and applying emerging technologies such as AI.
