Intermediate Software Engineer (Python)

Location: Hybrid; three days per week in one of the hub locations: Philadelphia, PA; Cedar Rapids, IA; or Denver, CO. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Salary: $82,000–$92,000 annually, plus potential annual bonus.

What you will do

• Design, code, test, document, and support application solutions in an agile environment.
• Develop and maintain Python applications, automation solutions, APIs, ETL processes, and operational support tools.
• Use Python, .NET, web, cloud, data integration, open-source, and third-party technologies.
• Support architectural design and end-to-end solutions across platforms.
• Perform production support, root cause analysis, defect remediation, data validation, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with software engineers, contract and offshore developers, and business product owners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of professional software development experience with Python, .NET/C#, or comparable object-oriented languages.
• Experience with database design, including relational, document, star schema, or Kimball models, and understanding of NoSQL technologies.
• Understanding of AWS cloud services, APIs, integration frameworks, microservices, distributed computing, and data processing.
• Experience with build, deployment, scripting, automation, operational support, and CI/CD tools including Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or similar technologies.
• U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS Lambda, Glue, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and serverless applications.
• Experience with production troubleshooting, real-time data processing, data mappings, and ETL solutions.
• Knowledge of the financial services industry.
