Project Leader (Outdoor Power Equipment)

hirify.global is hiring for new product development engineering programs in outdoor power equipment.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional delivery of moderate- to high-complexity new product development programs.
• Own product strategy, requirements, integrated schedules, critical paths, milestones, and project operating rhythms.
• Drive decisions and closure of gaps involving performance, features, cost, quality, risk, schedule, manufacturability, and supplier readiness.
• Manage project risks, mitigation plans, contingencies, investments, and escalation of unresolved constraints.
• Coordinate Operations, Quality, Sourcing, Supply Chain, suppliers, and other functional partners through launch and production ramp-up.
• Provide concise, data-driven executive updates and coach project team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a closely related technical field.
• At least 5 years of relevant engineering, product development, manufacturing, or technical project leadership experience; 8 years preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional product development projects of moderate to high complexity.
• Advanced capability in integrated scheduling, risk management, product costing, technical trade-offs, and launch execution.
• Ability to influence across functions, resolve misalignment, and communicate with senior leadership.
• Working knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, product validation, and supplier development.

Nice to have

• Experience with outdoor power equipment, power tools, consumer products, batteries and chargers, or electromechanical systems.
• Experience leading global NPD programs through concept, design, validation, certification, tooling, pilot, and launch.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, DFM/DFA, PPAP, cost modeling, and project scheduling tools.
• Experience coaching or mentoring project engineers and cross-functional team members.
