Network Management Consultant - Provider Performance (Healthcare)

Location: Field-based in the Dallas-Fort Worth or East Texas market, with onsite work at provider offices up to 3 days per week and work from home typically 2 days per week. Travel within the assigned territory, including overnight stays, is required. East Texas coverage includes Tyler, Longview, and surrounding areas.

Base pay: $55,900–$123,500 annually. The role also aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan.

What you will do

• Support HEDIS, CMS STARS, financial provider performance, and provider contracting activities.
• Develop and negotiate contracts with physicians, physician groups, and small to mid-size hospitals.
• Support complex hospital and physician contracting initiatives.
• Build provider relationships and deliver ongoing education and service.
• Identify performance improvement opportunities, develop action plans, and use analytics to influence outcomes.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory and attend occasional evening or weekend meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of experience developing and negotiating provider contracts, or five years of managed care operations experience including at least one year of provider contract experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, planning, analytical, and deadline-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability and willingness to travel within the assigned territory, including overnight stays.
• Experience handling independent work and operating in a matrix environment.

Nice to have

• Business bachelor’s degree.
• HEDIS or CMS STARS experience.
• Knowledge of health insurance, customer messaging and design, project management, financial or trend analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with EMRs, population health tools, provider outreach, medical record retrieval, PHI, and HIPAA compliance.
