Implementation Consultant Core/Ambulatory (Healthcare IT)

Location: Remote in Canada; candidates in the United States may be considered and must be willing to travel to Canada as required. The role includes 10–15% travel for on-site go-live support.

Salary: CA$50,000–CA$60,000 per year

What you will do

• Implement Altera healthcare software, primarily Sunrise EMR Core and Ambulatory, at client sites in Manitoba.
• Complete project workplan activities within the contracted scope as part of a multidisciplinary implementation team.
• Configure systems and provide technical guidance on configuration requirements.
• Advise clients on ambulatory workflows, including registration, scheduling, and clinical documentation.
• Identify, resolve, and escalate system and workflow issues throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Provide go-live and activation support while managing stakeholder expectations and utilization targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years of healthcare IT implementation and configuration experience.
• Demonstrated functional knowledge of an EMR or EHR system and experience contributing to a formal EMR implementation project.
• Strong client presentation, written communication, oral communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing multiple priorities during long-term implementation cycles.
• Ability to work remotely from Canada; U.S.-based candidates must be willing to travel to Canada and hold a valid passport.

Nice to have

• Experience with Altera Sunrise EMR Core or Ambulatory.
• Experience with Epic or Meditech and strong knowledge of clinic workflows.
• Clinical background or experience rolling out clinics.
• SQL or SSRS reporting experience.
• Project management experience and ability to learn new systems quickly.
