Data / Software Engineer (Autonomous Defence Systems)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable real-time data pipelines for telemetry, sensor, and video data.
• Develop automation frameworks and internal tooling for data workflows across defence programs.
• Architect cloud infrastructure and data storage solutions using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Define data models, interface specifications, and telemetry schemas with hardware, embedded, and software engineering teams.
• Optimize high-throughput data processing for memory efficiency and sub-second execution.
• Implement data quality, monitoring, alerting, unit testing, CI/CD, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Rust, or Go.
• Hands-on experience building scalable data pipelines and processing systems.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases and object storage.
• Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience processing high-volume telemetry, sensor, or video data and building developer tooling or CI/CD workflows.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with defence, aerospace, or robotics applications.
