Data Engineer - Domain Data (MarTech)

Location: 100% remote in Portugal, with optional access to offices in Lisbon and Porto.

What you will do

• Deliver actionable domain datasets and data models as data products for marketing teams.
• Build, maintain, and improve data pipelines using AWS Redshift, Trino, Python, Spark, Airflow, and Kinesis.
• Support decentralized data solutions and product integrations, including DynamoDB-based solutions.
• Apply Data Mesh principles, improve source data quality, and integrate data into end products.
• Enforce privacy and security standards, including privacy by design.
• Mentor engineers, host training sessions, and promote data literacy across the engineering organization.

Requirements

• More than 2 years of experience building complex data pipelines and working with technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong SQL skills and the ability to write efficient, readable, maintainable code.
• Experience designing for scale, data growth, storage, and performance.
• Strong Python development skills and experience with cloud data technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker; Terraform is a plus.
• Must be based in Portugal. Excellent written and verbal English proficiency is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with marketing or advertising teams, data consulting, stakeholder management, analytics, metrics, and data quality measurement.
• Familiarity with Claude Code, Cursor, and AI agent technologies.
• Knowledge of additional big data technologies and tools.
