HR AI and Automation Manager (AI)

Location: Berlin or Munich, Germany; full-time onsite

What you will do

• Own the HR AI and automation roadmap, prioritising initiatives by business value, readiness, sensitivity, and implementation effort.
• Build and maintain workflows for recruiting handovers, onboarding, employee changes, approvals, and reporting.
• Develop an HR knowledge assistant using approved policies, source references, access permissions, and escalation for uncertain or sensitive questions.
• Connect HR systems and collaboration tools through approved integrations, APIs, and webhooks while improving data consistency.
• Improve workforce reporting and help HR and Finance reconcile position approvals, recruitment activity, and employee records.
• Evaluate, test, document, and monitor solutions; train users and report adoption, time savings, error rates, and operating costs.

Requirements

• Around five or more years of experience in HR technology, HR operations, business systems, or automation, with ownership from problem definition through implementation.
• Evidence of deploying and maintaining AI or automation solutions with measurable operational results.
• Practical experience building integrations with workflow platforms, APIs, and webhooks, including troubleshooting data flows.
• Experience applying language models to business workflows, including knowledge retrieval, output evaluation, and escalation of unreliable answers.
• Understanding of recruiting, employee lifecycle processes, HR data, and confidential candidate and employee information.
• Professional fluency in English and the ability to work effectively in a security-sensitive international environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Personio, Greenhouse, Google Workspace, Slack, or Confluence.
• SQL or Python skills.
• German language skills.
• Experience in defence, aerospace, manufacturing, or another regulated sector.
