Calibration and FAI Technician

Location: Fremont, California, United States; onsite work in a manufacturing environment.

Salary: $29.33–$31.25 per hour

What you will do

• Perform routine inspections and calibrations of Measurement & Test Equipment under supervision.
• Maintain calibration schedules, equipment registrations, identification labels, and traceable records.
• Coordinate equipment collection and return with tool owners and production departments.
• Read basic engineering drawings and perform dimensional measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and protractors.
• Perform First Article Inspections and assist with First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102 and customer requirements.
• Support audits, analyze basic calibration and inspection data, and escalate equipment or quality issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least six months of experience using precision measuring equipment or performing calibration, inspection, or quality work in manufacturing; formal metrology education may substitute.
• Basic knowledge of dimensional measuring instruments and developing ability to interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and accurate data-entry skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and bend, squat, crawl, and climb as needed in the manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Prior calibration experience or formal metrology education.
• Experience with torque or force calibration.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, or AS9102.
