Quality Inspector (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, CA, United States; onsite role

What you will do

• Perform First Article Inspections of CNC-machined and waterjet parts.
• Inspect large metallic parts using height and bore gauges, pin gauges, calipers, CMMs, and other precision equipment.
• Inspect solar modules, battery cells, PCBAs, harnesses, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Maintain inspection and inventory records in ERP and MES systems.
• Assist with final walkdown inspections of fully integrated Mega-class satellites.
• Support quality control optimization, corrective and preventive actions, AS9100 certification, and flight missions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of quality inspection experience in engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, or quality-related environments.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, including GD&T, and using precision measuring equipment.
• Familiarity with ERP/MES systems, ESD handling procedures, and AS9100 or similar quality management systems.
• Knowledge of ITAR compliance requirements; the role requires U.S. Person status or eligibility for a federally issued export-control license.
• Certification or experience with IPC-610, IPC-620, J-STD-001, NASA-STD-8739.3, or NASA-STD-8739.4.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 lbs.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with NX, Teamcenter, or similar CAD and PLM tools.
• Experience reviewing drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Cleanroom experience and strong technical communication skills.
