Project Manager II (Contract)

What you will do

• Manage multiple small- to large-scale IT technology and operations projects throughout the full project life cycle.
• Align stakeholders on project scope, timelines, deliverables, and intended outcomes.
• Identify roadblocks, risks, and opportunities, and coordinate mitigation with relevant stakeholders.
• Prioritize workloads and negotiate resource assignments across concurrent projects.
• Report project status to leadership and escalate issues when necessary.
• Improve PMO workflows and guide project teams in using standard processes, tools, and templates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, information technology, or a related field, or 4+ years of project or program management experience in a business or IT environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• Experience working with internal and external customers or vendors.
• Experience using project tracking tools such as Atlassian Jira or an equivalent.
• Ability to work in Pittsburgh, PA.

Nice to have

• CAPM, PMP, or another project management certification.
• Experience working with external customers in a professional or managed services delivery environment.
