Legal Counsel (SaaS)

Location: Global, remote-friendly team with headquarters in Barcelona and colleagues across the US, UK, and other locations. Work environments include in-office and work-from-home setups.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate customer agreements, MSAs, DPAs, SaaS terms, NDAs, partner contracts, and vendor agreements.
• Manage commercial deals with Sales and Revenue from first draft through signature, escalating complex matters when needed.
• Build contract templates, fallback positions, playbooks, clause libraries, approval workflows, and contract lifecycle management processes.
• Support entity management, corporate filings, board documentation, equity and cap table processes, audits, and compliance frameworks.
• Partner with IT, Compliance, Security, Engineering, Product, Finance, People, and external providers on privacy, GDPR, IP, licensing, and regulatory matters.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of post-qualification legal experience in-house, private practice, SaaS, technology, or a high-growth environment.
• Qualified to practise law in a relevant jurisdiction.
• Hands-on experience independently drafting and negotiating SaaS and other commercial agreements.
• Working knowledge of GDPR and exposure to privacy, corporate, IP, or compliance work.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, organization, and pragmatic risk-balancing skills.
• Experience in a startup, scale-up, or international business environment; venture capital experience is highly preferred.

• Experience supporting global, distributed teams.
• Familiarity with legal technology, contract lifecycle management systems, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Exposure to life sciences, biotech, or data-driven platforms.
