Software Development Engineer in Test (AI)

Location: London, Victoria, United Kingdom — hybrid, with office attendance approximately once per month

What you will do

• Build AI-assisted quality workflows for generating, maintaining, and triaging test assets.
• Develop and maintain automated testing across UI, API, and data layers.
• Support migration from the C# Selenium framework to Playwright with TypeScript.
• Integrate automated test execution and quality gates into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate failures across logs, APIs, databases, telemetry, test environments, and production systems.
• Improve observability, monitoring, alerting, release quality, and technical risk communication.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of software testing experience covering hands-on testing and automation.
• Strong C#/.NET experience and the ability to write and maintain production-quality automation code.
• Experience with test automation frameworks, CI/CD, Azure DevOps or a comparable platform, and SQL database validation.
• Ability to troubleshoot APIs, application logs, databases, telemetry, and non-happy-path scenarios.
• Meaningful experience using AI tools in software engineering or quality workflows and validating AI-generated outputs.
• Clear written and verbal English communication, existing right to work in the UK, and ability to attend the London office monthly. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Playwright, TypeScript, Selenium, xUnit/NUnit, Postman/Newman, PowerShell, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Application Insights, Redis, YAML pipelines, Docker, contract testing, performance testing, load testing, or accessibility testing.
• Experience with high-volume data pipelines or ecommerce and feed-processing platforms.
