Automation Test Engineer

Location: Hybrid working across company offices, client sites, and home; working from home 100% of the time is not possible. SC clearance requires continuous residence in the United Kingdom for the last 5 years.

What you will do

• Create effective automation test strategies and plans.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Tricentis Tosca.
• Write BDD test scripts with Cucumber, SpecFlow, or similar tools.
• Integrate automation assets into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Perform functional, API, web, mobile, manual, and automated testing.
• Manage a small team of test engineers and collaborate with developers, testers, analysts, and architects.

Requirements

• Experience creating automation test strategies, plans, frameworks, and test scripts.
• Experience with at least two test automation tools, including Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Tricentis Tosca.
• Familiarity with an object-oriented programming language such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience with Git, Agile or DevOps environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with BDD tools such as Cucumber or SpecFlow and multiple testing types.
• Eligibility for Security Check (SC) clearance, including five years of continuous residence in the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent, or willingness to obtain it after joining.
• Experience with Jira, TFS, OpenText ALM, Postman, ReadyAPI, SoapUI, data masking, and data subsetting.
• Experience in waterfall testing environments.
