Senior QA Engineer (IoT)

What you will do

• Champion a whole-team approach to quality, integrating testing considerations from the initial design phase.
• Build and maintain internal testing tools and frameworks to raise the quality bar for the entire squad.
• Define the test strategy, balancing unit, integration, and E2E coverage for maximum confidence.
• Partner with developers to build testability and observability directly into the product.
• Analyze failure patterns and flaky tests to drive systemic architectural fixes.

Requirements

• Strong agile testing mindset with a shift-left and automation-first approach.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript, including the ability to review product code.
• Experience incorporating API tests and database queries into automated test suites.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to design and optimize automated tests.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid setup in Reading, UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with message-based technologies such as Kafka.
• Knowledge of chaos/resilience testing, network condition simulation, or performance testing.
• Experience with CI/CD processes using GitLab and Jenkins.
• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.
