Mechanical Engineering Co-Op (Summer 2027)

Location: Onsite at the Quincy, Massachusetts facility; U.S. citizenship required

Salary: $24.32–$26.76 per hour

What you will do

• Create and modify mechanical 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for autonomous unmanned surface and underwater vehicles and remotely operated vehicles.
• Develop and manage parts, components, assemblies, drawing templates, and project guidelines.
• Manage engineering data in PDM and follow configuration management processes.
• Implement ANSI drawing standards and support manufacturability and product configuration activities.
• Manage BOMs and drawing trees while collaborating with internal and external personnel.
• Work on engineering projects with moderate guidance.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a mechanical engineering degree, technical or business school program, or equivalent education.
• Completed at least the sophomore year by the time of hire.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Experience or knowledge of CAD tools and related software and technologies.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Nice to have

• Experience with SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, and configuration management.
• Experience with ASME Y14.5 GD&T and tolerance stack-up assessment.
• Experience managing and tracking BOMs and drawing trees.
• Prior co-op experience.
