Hardware Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Wilmington, Massachusetts, USA — ITC; onsite

What you will do

• Design, document, build, test, and debug hardware and engineering systems.
• Design parts for machining, casting, sheet metal, plastics, and fabricated assemblies using CAD.
• Assemble electromechanical components and test fixtures with hand tools, measurement equipment, and machine tools.
• Develop Python robot motion scripts and contribute to PLC hardware and software systems.
• Create and manage Bills of Materials and Engineering Change Orders.
• Develop reliability test plans and conduct root cause analysis of system failures.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in systems, robotics, mechanical, electrical, computer science, or a related engineering or technical field.
• Familiarity with testing complex integrated hardware and software systems, preferably in robotics or automation.
• Familiarity with Python and complex electromechanical applications, including sensors, actuators, localization, robotics, and control algorithms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, organizational, communication, and data-presentation skills.
• Mechanical candidates should know GD&T, drawing standards, SolidWorks or equivalent 3D design software, and common manufacturing processes.
• Up to 10% travel may be required; a valid driver's license and ability to travel to client locations are required.
