Backend Engineer (Python)

Location: Remote from Poland

What you will do

• Scrape APIs at industrial scale, processing terabytes of data per day.
• Build and optimize Python backend services for high-load, data-intensive systems.
• Develop data pipelines and analytics solutions.
• Write and review secure, maintainable backend code.
• Implement unit and end-to-end automated testing and participate in CI/CD.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system stability and performance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional Python experience with expertise in high-load, scalable systems.
• Strong SQL skills, including performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience with microservices, data pipelines, and analytics solutions.
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and GitHub.
• Ability to refactor legacy code and migrate to modern technology stacks.
• B1+ English proficiency and eligibility to work remotely from Poland.

Nice to have

• macOS or iOS power-user experience.
• Experience developing iOS applications, including automated testing.
• Strong CLI experience and interest in automating ad-hoc tasks.
