Backend Engineer, AI (Python/Node.js, LLMs): Building and operating production inference and orchestration systems that turn model capabilities into fast, stable, observable APIs with an accent on reliability, latency, throughput, and real-world task completion. Focus on designing inference pipelines, optimizing caching, batching, and streaming, and debugging distributed systems under production load.

What you will do
- Build and operate backend systems serving AI-powered features in production.
- Design inference pipelines, orchestration layers, and service boundaries around AI models.
- Develop fast, stable, and observable APIs for mobile and desktop clients.
- Monitor, log, alert on, and respond to production incidents.
- Optimize latency and throughput across inference, caching, batching, and streaming.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering fundamentals in production environments.
- Experience running high-throughput, low-latency services.
- Familiarity with AI inference patterns, including LLMs, embeddings, and multimodal models.
- Ability to debug distributed systems under load and improve systems based on production behavior.
- Experience with Python, Node.js, PyTorch, SQL, NoSQL, Kubernetes, and Docker.
