What you will do
- Maintain relationships with shipping lines, co-loaders, customs brokers, and trucking companies, including negotiating rates.
- Coordinate export shipments for dangerous goods, non-hazardous cargo, and buyer consolidations.
- Issue booking confirmations, prepare freight lists, provide quotations, and support customer service.
- Manage trade disputes and unexpected shipment incidents through effective problem-solving.
- Use shipping-line booking systems and global platforms such as Meridian and BDP SmartVU.
- Generate bills of lading, issue invoices, complete reconciliations, and manage export filings.
Requirements
- Experience coordinating export shipments and working with international logistics partners.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and standard, flat rack, open-top, ISO tank, bulk, and refrigerated containers.
- Proficiency with online shipping-line booking systems.
- Ability to handle customer quotations, documentation, reconciliations, and overseas billing.
- Familiarity with ACE, ACI, ICS2, MPCI, ISF, and outsourced documentation processes.
