Customs Brokerage Agent

What you will do

• Receive shipment documents and prepare import and export customs entries using Customsware and other declaration software.
• Review commercial invoices, transport documents, weights, quantities, origin, customs value, classification, and preferential-duty information for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure timely customs clearance, monitor shipments, enter data accurately, and resolve exceptions in operational systems.
• Follow customs procedures, customer SOPs, licensing requirements, SPS rules, prohibitions, restrictions, and company compliance standards.
• Communicate with customers, customs authorities, service providers, and internal Customs Compliance and Brokerage management.
• Record customs communications and identify process improvements using tools such as Profiles and Edoc lift.

Requirements

• Understanding of customs procedures and the customs declaration process.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, time management, and reliability in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service focus.
• Good computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of applicable customs declaration software and hirify.global systems, including expo.Customs, e.Doc, CFIT, ETMS, expo, and Accounting.
