Ocean Export Lead Agent (Logistics)

What you will do

• Support the manager and supervisor in running the Ocean Export Department and maintaining smooth, timely freight movement.
• Allocate workloads, mentor agents, support onboarding, and help the team meet annual training and performance standards.
• Prepare international transportation documents, coordinate vendor rates and services, and manage shipment data, billing, and operational reports.
• Arrange international export shipments, respond to customer requests, follow customer procedures, and monitor shipment reports.
• Audit files, maintain operational process standards, support compliance activities, and improve department processes and systems.
• Maintain relationships with shipping lines, trucking companies, customers, and internal finance and sales teams.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in Ocean Export
• Fluent English and Dutch
• Leadership experience and the ability to mentor and guide team members.
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and process-oriented skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, work autonomously, and maintain attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Hazardous Materials certification.
