Customs Brokerage Lead Agent

Location: Uniondale, New York, USA; onsite

Salary: USD 60,000–65,000 per year

What you will do

• Ensure smooth, timely, and accurate customs clearance and shipment processing.
• Follow customer standard operating procedures and maintain accurate data in operational systems.
• Monitor shipment reports, workboards, KPIs, and customs refund activity.
• Support workload allocation, customer reviews, retention calls, pricing requests, and communication with customs organizations.
• Mentor agents, maintain positive team collaboration, and promote productivity tools and system enhancements.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the global logistics industry.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Fluent English.
• Strong knowledge of customs brokerage processes and systems.
• Good knowledge of Incoterms.
• Ability to work with customers, governmental customs organizations, operational KPIs, and regulatory requirements.
