Assistant Area Manager (Hospitality)

Location: On-site in Sonoma or Santa Rosa, California, United States; must reside within a short drive of the designated vacation rental properties and maintain an in-market presence.

Salary: Starting at $70,304 per year plus a performance bonus

What you will do

• Support the Area Manager with daily operations across hirify.global properties and act as market lead when needed.
• Communicate with property owners, review distribution statements, and coordinate with internal departments.
• Inspect properties, identify quality issues, and ensure homes meet company standards and regulations.
• Coordinate housekeeping, routine maintenance, supplies, linens, and property inventory.
• Resolve guest and homeowner concerns through email, phone, text, Slack, and support tickets.
• Train and evaluate field operations personnel, travel frequently between properties, and participate in rotating after-hours on-call coverage.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hospitality or customer-facing experience.
• Must reside within a short drive of the designated vacation rental properties and be able to maintain an in-market, on-site presence.
• Reliable car and a valid driver’s license.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, flexible schedules, and rotating after-hours on-call shifts.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills and strong self-management, prioritization, communication, and responsiveness.
• Ability to spend most working time standing, walking, and driving; regularly perform physical activities and occasionally lift more than 25 pounds.

• Vacation rental industry experience.
• Salesforce knowledge.
• Hospitality or real estate experience and an Accredited Residential Manager designation.
