Engineering Co-op, Advanced Manufacturing Group

Location: Stafford Springs, Connecticut, United States; onsite role with hands-on manufacturing-floor and facility duties

What you will do

• Assemble, test, design, and build robotic workcells and advanced machine tools.
• Test machines, troubleshoot issues, debug systems, and recommend improvements.
• Evaluate and recommend electronics manufacturing and design-for-manufacturing processes.
• Develop, test, and deploy Industry 4.0 software connecting factories and supporting end users.
• Work with software users to identify and improve their experience.
• Support shop-team activities, including testing, drafting, cleaning, and equipment installation.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an engineering or technical program with at least two completed semesters or equivalent instruction or self-study.
• Willingness to learn, grow, contribute, and work hands-on.
• Ability to solve team problems, research independently, and develop new solutions.
• Interest in designing and building things and improving engineering skills.
• Ability to work with diverse teams of technicians and engineers.
• Access to ITAR-controlled products and technical data is restricted to US citizens and US permanent residents; export-control procedures must be followed.

Nice to have

• Participation in Formula Teams or other engineering clubs.
• Engineering clubs, volunteer projects, or jobs demonstrating mechanical, electrical, or software aptitude.
• Interest in a startup-style environment within advanced manufacturing.
