Mechanical Engineer (Power Tools)

What you will do

• Lead mechanical feasibility, performance validation, and technical risk reduction for advanced power-tool projects.
• Develop and evaluate mechanisms, structures, and integrated mechanical systems through analysis and physical testing.
• Translate early concepts and emerging technologies into technically mature designs for product development.
• Build, test, and iterate functional prototypes to validate durability, performance, and manufacturability.
• Define system requirements, user operation methods, acceptance criteria, and design trade-offs.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Engineering, Industrial Design, and other cross-functional teams while communicating technical findings and recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD and GD&T; experience with SolidWorks or NX is relevant.
• Knowledge of mechanisms, gear design, structures, engineering materials, and related manufacturing processes.
• Experience building prototypes, developing test plans, and defining acceptance criteria.
• Strong problem-solving skills, a hands-on approach, ownership, and the ability to manage multiple projects at different development stages.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in an engineering discipline.
• Experience with FEA, CFD, AI/ML, measurement equipment, embedded electronics, or controls.
• Experience with ANSYS Mechanical, Discovery, or KISSsoft.
