Engineering Development Co-Op (MedTech)

What you will do

• Assist engineers with design, prototyping, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Support CAD modeling and implement simple design updates under guidance.
• Conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and summarize results.
• Prepare technical documentation, engineering drawings, and test reports.
• Support manufacturing, laboratory, and shop-floor activities as needed.
• Participate in team meetings, present project findings, and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Completion of the undergraduate freshman year at an accredited university.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, chemical, manufacturing, or a related engineering field.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• Understanding of engineering fundamentals and problem-solving methodologies.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Must remain enrolled as a full-time student throughout the January–December 2027 co-op assignment and be permanently authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Previous internship, laboratory, manufacturing, research, or project experience.
• Experience with Python, MATLAB, or Excel for data analysis.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
