Assistant Area Manager (Short-Term Rentals)

Location: Newport Beach, California, United States. On-site role requiring residence within a short drive of the designated vacation rental properties and frequent travel between sites.

Salary: $70,000–$70,304 per year, plus a performance-dependent bonus.

What you will do

• Support daily operations across hirify.global properties and act as market lead and personnel manager when required.
• Communicate with property owners, review owner distribution statements, and coordinate with internal departments.
• Monitor guest and homeowner issues, ensuring timely, high-quality resolutions.
• Inspect properties, identify quality and compliance issues, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Coordinate housekeeping and routine maintenance, including inventory, linens, minor repairs, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Train, coach, and evaluate field operations personnel while participating in rotating after-hours on-call coverage.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hospitality or customer-facing experience.
• Basic maintenance abilities and basic Microsoft Office skills; Salesforce knowledge is a plus.
• Must reside in the designated area near the vacation rental properties.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and availability for weekends, holidays, flexible schedules, and frequent local travel.
• Ability to spend most working time standing, walking, and driving, and to perform physical activities including bending, kneeling, climbing, carrying, and lifting more than 25 lbs.
• Strong self-management, prioritization, responsiveness, and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Hospitality or real estate experience.
• Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation.
