Site Supervisor (Chemical Distribution)

Location: San Diego, CA, US, 92122-4616; on-site supervision of branch, warehouse, transportation, and tank farm operations.

Salary: $84,000–$90,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage the daily safe, efficient, legal, and economical operation of the assigned branch, including transportation, warehouse, and tank farm activities.
• Supervise staff, lead pre-shift meetings, coordinate daily work, and ensure employees have the required tools and training.
• Support health, safety, and environmental programs, including audits, incident investigations, documentation, and regulatory inspections.
• Monitor branch performance, budgets, productivity opportunities, customer requirements, and order fulfillment.
• Manage cycle counts, physical inventory, quarantined materials, repacking, transportation functions, and facility maintenance.
• Partner with relevant departments to resolve product quality issues and drive process improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3–5 years of operations experience, preferably in a chemical distribution facility.
• Experience with supervisory leadership, performance metrics, reporting, decision-making, and process improvement.
• Knowledge of chemical distribution procedures, cGMP requirements, and governmental requirements including OSHA, EPA, RCRA, and DOT.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and respond to emergency situations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; basic understanding of the UVX2000 inventory management system.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent operational experience.
• HazMat or Hazwoper certification where required by the branch.
• Knowledge of chemical distribution facility operations and regulatory requirements.
