Technical Programme Manager (Quantum Computing)

Location: Bothell, Washington, United States; onsite at least three days a week. Travel around 30%, mostly within the United States, with occasional trips to the Oxford site. Employment may require U.S. Person status, an export-control license, or confirmation of a license exception for access to controlled technology and government contract work.

What you will do

• Lead planning and execution of global manufacturing programmes for quantum computing systems across production facilities.
• Manage customer-site deployment and commissioning programmes across the Americas from planning through handover.
• Coordinate engineering, research, production, compliance, logistics, supply chain, facilities, security, mobility, and customer stakeholders.
• Run site readiness, including infrastructure, networking, staffing, installation sequencing, vendors, and customer requirements.
• Manage programme risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations to keep manufacturing and deployment schedules on track.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in technical programme management, complex hardware manufacturing, or deployment.
• Technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience running international programmes involving logistics, facilities, trade compliance, mobility, and field operations.
• Ability to manage critical paths across cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
• Ability to work onsite in Bothell, Washington, at least three days per week and travel approximately 30%.
• Eligibility for U.S. export-controlled technology and government contract work through U.S. Person status, an applicable license, or a confirmed license exception.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling high-technology hardware factory operations across multiple continents.
• Experience with facilities buildout, infrastructure readiness, construction coordination, or technical installations.
• Onsite deployment experience with enterprise, government, or research customers.
• Exposure to trapped-ion systems, photonics, quantum computing, or comparable advanced hardware.
• MS in physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
