Head Engineering Canada (Manufacturing Engineering)

Location: Alliston, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 120,000–125,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop the Product & Process Engineering team supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing.
• Set engineering strategy, resource plans, departmental objectives, performance metrics, and continuous improvement priorities.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Production to optimize processes, increase productivity, and reduce waste.
• Oversee tooling, fixtures, manufacturing process development, capacity planning, and capital improvement projects.
• Review product and process changes and provide technical leadership for new product introductions, modifications, and process validation.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, engineering standards, budgeting, and capital planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Working knowledge of tooling and die design, GD&T, and manufacturing processes for metals and plastics.
• Experience with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office.
