Field Service Technician (Robotics)

Location: Toronto, Canada; extensive travel to customer sites required 75%+ of the time

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, and maintain multi-robotic welding systems, robotic vision systems, sensors, and specialized manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, cleaning, and component replacement across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, welding, and automation systems.
• Integrate autonomous welding cells into customer manufacturing processes using robotic system integration and communication protocols.
• Inspect welded assemblies, monitor cell performance, manage parts and completed assemblies, and ensure precise part fit-up.
• Record and analyze operational data, collaborate with engineering resources, and resolve equipment issues at local and customer sites.
• Interface with customers to optimize equipment efficiency and develop expertise in Forge processes, command prompts, and code changes.

Requirements

• Technical training, trade school certification, an Associate degree in Engineering Technology, or equivalent industry experience.
• Hands-on experience designing, assembling, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, preferably manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with fabrication or machine shop processes and the ability to learn and use programming languages.
• Strong attention to detail when handling small and fragile components.
• Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites, 75% or more of the time.

Nice to have

• Welding experience; certifications are not required.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
