Hardware Engineering Co-op

Location: Onsite at the SCIEX R&D Centre in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada; the posting also lists Concord, Ontario, Canada.

What you will do

• Support multidisciplinary teams and suppliers across mass spectrometer product design, development, integration, and testing.
• Document customer needs, define and trace system requirements, and develop verification plans and protocols.
• Support product design with attention to integration, manufacturability, serviceability, and supplier considerations.
• Perform basic thermal, audible noise, reliability, cost, design of experiments, and simulated-use analyses.
• Support iterative product development, process qualification planning, and testing.
• Identify, develop, and implement AI automation for engineering areas and workflows, and present project results and status updates.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or an equivalent related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 within the curriculum.
• Ability to work onsite at the SCIEX R&D Centre.
• Ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, product management, and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Previous engineering co-op experience.
• Medical device or product development experience.
• Experience with computer-aided design tools such as SolidWorks.
