Senior Tech Specialist - Infrastructure

What you will do

• Serve as the technical subject matter expert for physical infrastructure supporting data, server, voice, video, and third-party equipment.
• Develop and maintain standards, specifications, processes, operational support, and technology roadmaps for infrastructure systems.
• Review bidding documents, validate third-party engineering designs, and coordinate vendors for construction and renovation projects.
• Oversee copper and fiber optic cabling infrastructure, electrical systems, HVAC support systems, and layer 1 deployments.
• Conduct site visits, quality assurance reviews, RFI fulfillment, vendor meetings, security audits, and operational assessments.
• Coordinate with infrastructure teams, enterprise architects, project managers, internal customers, field services, and third-party vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Science or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/BICSI telecommunications standards and healthcare ICT infrastructure practices.
• Understanding of copper and fiber plant infrastructure, electrical design, UPS systems, generators, grounding and bonding, and building HVAC systems.
• Strong ability to read engineered construction documents and outside-plant site plans and identify conflicts with telecommunications and building systems.
• Ability to manage complex projects, explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, and coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience as a copper and fiber plant installer, supervisor, manager, or infrastructure project manager.
• Experience leading large, complex projects across multiple functional departments.
• Experience in a complex healthcare organization and knowledge of regulatory or contractual compliance.
