Critical Facilities Technician (Data Centers)

Location: Plano, Texas, United States; onsite data center operations

Hourly pay range: $35.00–$45.00 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot critical and non-critical mechanical and electrical equipment across 24x7 facility operations.
• Operate and maintain HVAC, plumbing, generators, fire detection and suppression, life safety, temperature control, building management, and security systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise electrical operations, maintenance, energy management, and change-control activities.
• Schedule preventive, predictive, corrective, contracted, and general maintenance while ensuring compliance with MOP, SOP, ERP, and work instructions.
• Execute work orders, document completed work in the computerized maintenance management system, and coordinate materials and third-party contractors.
• Respond to fires, evacuations, equipment failures, and customer concerns while improving safety and operational processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 3–5 years of experience supporting electrical or mechanical critical facilities, or 7+ years of HVAC or mechanical/electrical technician experience.
• Ability to work overtime and 12-hour shifts, including day, night, weekend, and holiday schedules.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical systems, facility operations, and safe work procedures.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Electrical or mechanical certifications are preferred.
