Intermediate Middleware Engineer

Location: Remote work from Pennsylvania, United States; US citizenship required due to contractual and access requirements

What you will do

• Install, configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot middleware components and web hosting infrastructure.
• Manage DNS, web server configurations, SSL/TLS certificates, F5 load balancing, and related network configurations.
• Analyze, design, code, test, and implement technical solutions with defined scope, schedules, and quality standards.
• Provide production monitoring and support, investigate technical issues, and report progress or risks to leadership.
• Collaborate with IT, product, analytics, business, development, operations, and architecture stakeholders.
• Document technical processes, participate in technical reviews, and share knowledge across teams.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required due to contractual and access requirements.
• At least 3 years of experience analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing technical solutions and providing production support.
• At least 3 years of technical problem-solving, solution implementation, team collaboration, operating systems, development languages, or scripting experience.
• Experience with application hosting, web servers, middleware, Apache, SSL/TLS, F5 load balancing, containers, infrastructure as code, configuration as code, Ansible, and DevOps.
• Experience designing fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable solutions, with knowledge of technical governance, quality, and security practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience and education.

Nice to have

• Five years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience defining system architectures and evaluating technical feasibility trade-offs.
• Experience designing or developing technology solutions in healthcare.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
