Unified Communications Engineer

What you will do

• Serve as an escalation point for Tier 2 Operations, resolve tickets, and maintain knowledge base articles.
• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain infrastructure systems according to design specifications.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, repair, and tune complex systems and hardware components.
• Support ITIL Service Transition by documenting services and training Service Desk and L2 Operations personnel.
• Monitor the environment, coordinate incident and problem tickets, and support technology testing and evaluation.
• Provide 24x7 incident response, root cause analysis, and infrastructure performance and capacity reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or two years of relevant experience in a related field.
• Previous experience in an infrastructure specialization, including mobile telecommunications provisioning and troubleshooting.
• Experience with syslog and call detail records.
• Intermediate certification such as RHCSA, CCNA, MCSA, VCP, VCAP, VCDX, CWNA, EMCSA, ACIS, or CCP; four years of experience may substitute for the certification requirement.
• ITIL certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Effective verbal and written English communication is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with telecommunications alarm management platforms and remote monitoring.
• Experience with Ethernet, Internet Protocol, routing, and QoS.
