Senior Java Engineer (Elasticsearch)

Salary: 307,800–486,900 PLN base salary; no variable compensation.

What you will do

• Evolve the core infrastructure and shared platform functionality underpinning hirify.globalsearch.
• Design and implement horizontally scalable features and APIs.
• Improve developer productivity through automation and AI-powered development workflows.
• Investigate and resolve complex performance, concurrency, stability, and operational issues end to end.
• Improve observability and operations for hirify.globalsearch cloud systems.
• Lead cross-team projects and collaborate with hirify.globalsearch users, support engineers, and open-source projects.

Requirements

• Strong core Java skills, including concurrency, parallelism, classloaders, standard data structures, and newer language features.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, API design, and technical trade-offs.
• Experience with CI/CD systems and practices such as Buildkite, Argo CD, and GitOps.
• Experience leading large-scale projects across engineering teams and owning delivery from technical design through completion.
• Proven use of AI to accelerate development, debug complex systems, and optimize code.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively in a distributed, asynchronous environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of JDK internals, the Java memory model, garbage collection, caching, and database load.
• Experience with observability and telemetry solutions, particularly OpenTelemetry.
• Knowledge of Go, containers, Kubernetes, and Java build tools such as Gradle or Maven.
• Experience in a platform or developer productivity team.
