Senior Java Developer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid, with three days per week from an office in Warsaw, Gdańsk, or Gdynia, Poland

Rate: Up to 140 PLN/h

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications supporting core business services in the Cards Technology domain.
• Collaborate within an Agile team and Agile Release Train.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver financial solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications.
• Optimize application performance and maintain high code-quality standards.
• Create technical documentation for developed functionality.

Requirements

• At least five years of commercial Java software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Java 8+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and SQL.
• Practical knowledge of microservices architecture, clean code principles, continuous integration, REST API design, and CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket and Jenkins.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
• Advanced proficiency in Polish and English is required.
• Availability to work from the specified Polish office locations three days per week.

Nice to have

• C++ development experience.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Knowledge of test automation concepts, Kafka, Spring WebFlux, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Front-end development experience with JavaScript, Angular, or React.
• Previous experience in the financial industry.
