CNC Machinist - Combustion

What you will do

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools, including lathes, horizontal borers, and grinders.
• Read engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications to determine machining operations.
• Measure and visually inspect completed parts for defects and compliance with manufacturing documentation.
• Perform routine maintenance and keep machines and equipment operating effectively.
• Work with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
• Record production quantities, dimensions, deviations, and other relevant data while following health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with lathes, horizontal borers, grinders, and other machine tools.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
• Preferably a completed recognized Level 3 apprenticeship; an NVQ Level 3 or relevant engineering technical certificate will also be considered.
• Good communication, collaboration, basic computer, and continuous-improvement skills.
