Junior Software Engineer (Edge Platform)

What you will do

• Build and maintain Linux services, scripts, and tools for the edge platform.
• Automate provisioning and configuration of edge computers and factory-deployed servers.
• Package, test, and deploy applications using containers and virtual machines.
• Implement and test industrial communication integrations including Modbus TCP/IP, Profinet, OPC UA, CC-Link, and EtherNet/IP.
• Improve updates, logging, monitoring, recovery, testing, and reliability across deployment environments.
• Support ML inference integration on edge hardware, troubleshoot platform issues, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Hands-on Linux experience with the command line, permissions, processes, services, package management, and logs.
• Programming experience in Python, Rust, C++, or Go, plus familiarity with shell scripting.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including IP addressing, DNS, ports, and TCP/IP.
• Familiarity with Git and a methodical approach to testing and debugging.
• Academic, personal, internship, or professional projects demonstrating the ability to build and troubleshoot working systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, virtual machines, systemd, or a personal Linux server.
• Interest in running ML models locally.
