Edge Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Build edge applications that process vision data and communication layers on compute-constrained devices.
• Deploy machine-learning models to production and optimize the platform runtime for performance.
• Develop and maintain primarily C++ code, including pipeline components running on GPUs.
• Build observability and telemetry for deployed edge systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science.
• 3–8 years of experience with data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Strong C++ programming skills and a strong understanding of Linux.
• Knowledge of another development language, such as Java, Python, or Shell scripting.
• Ability to work in an on-site environment in Sunnyvale.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with edge or IoT computing and deployed edge-computer fleets.
• Infrastructure management experience with Salt.
• Monitoring experience with Grafana.
• Video processing and streaming experience with GStreamer.
• Experience interfacing with machine-learning models using PyTorch.
