Project Management, Global Design and Deliverables (Automotive)

Location: Dearborn, Michigan, United States; hybrid with a requirement to be onsite four or more days per week

Salary: $115,500–$175,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the Global Design Studio Appearance Approval governance process, including operating cadence, executive reviews, documentation, and follow-through.
• Define approval pathways, decision points, responsibilities, and escalation mechanisms with Design leadership.
• Manage Design timing, milestones, deliverables, and approval requirements across vehicle programs.
• Plan and facilitate senior-level Appearance Approval forums with clear context, recommendations, risks, and decisions.
• Represent Global Design in cross-functional governance and integrate Design requirements into enterprise processes and program plans.
• Improve governance and delivery processes while mentoring DTO Program PMAs on Design procedures, templates, timing, and review cadence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, transportation design, mechanical engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management, program management, product development, or business operations.
• Experience managing complex cross-functional work with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including facilitating discussions with executive leaders.
• Familiarity with vehicle development processes, GPDS milestones, Design studio procedures, and appearance development and approval processes.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
