TL;DR
Sr. Manager, Software Business Operations (Automotive): Leading business operations, financial planning, project delivery, and commercialization for charging, connectivity, cloud, fleet, and software services with an accent on portfolio prioritization, workforce planning, and cross-functional execution. Focus on building business cases, managing complex automotive programs, coordinating launch readiness, and delivering products and features on time and on budget.

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, or Novi, Michigan, United States. The role requires 4–5 days per week in the office, regular in-person meetings and events, and occasional travel.

Salary: $150,000–$181,250 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

  • Own annual budgeting, forecasting, financial management, workforce planning, and resource allocation across Charging, Connectivity, Cloud Services, Fleet, and Software Services.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team covering business operations, project management, financial planning, analytics, data science, marketing programs, launch readiness, and training and communications.
  • Develop business cases, investment proposals, ROI assessments, and spending controls with Finance, Procurement, and business stakeholders.
  • Lead complex cross-functional programs, maintaining project plans, milestones, deliverables, risks, and mitigation strategies using JIRA and Confluence.
  • Prioritize product and engineering backlogs, align execution capacity with business priorities, and coordinate commercial, product, engineering, legal, finance, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Lead commercialization, go-to-market, marketing, training, communications, and launch-readiness activities for new software and connected services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience developing and managing OEM Connected Services relationships and consumer offers.
  • 5+ years managing project or product teams related to Charging or Connected Services, with successful product delivery experience at an automotive OEM.
  • Broad project management and technical knowledge in the automotive sector, including current project tracking practices.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams through planning, delivery, commercialization, and product launches.
  • Experience building high-performing teams, managing through influence, and creating effective collaboration across organizational levels.
